YEREVAN. – Iravunk daily of Armenia writes: In recent weeks, a periodic fall of the [US] dollar exchange rate is being observed particularly in the domestic market of Armenia. The fact is that in about 1.5 months, the dollar has decreased by about 50 drams against the [Armenian] dram. What is this trend? What is the reason [for it]? We tried to get the answer to the question from economist Tatul Manaseryan, who briefly presented:

"It is exclusively due to the US circumstance. It is no secret that the US has serious problems with increasing exports, as a result of which they create a problem of artificial devaluation of the currency. The downward trend of the dollar should still be awaited in the near future."
