YEREVAN. – The Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II was at the Vatican and he met with Pope Benedict XVI, Hayots Ashkharh daily reports.          

“Father Vahram Melikyan, the person in charge of the Information Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, likewise confirmed this news.   

[But] He noted that the visit to the Vatican and the [Catholicos’] meeting with the Pope were private, and [therefore] it is not possible to convey [any] details of it,” Hayots Ashkharh writes.
