YEREVAN. – The course of parliamentary elections in Armenia will be broadcast online.

The above-said is noted in the draft amendments to Electoral Code, and whose debates have begun at Monday’s special session of the National Assembly.

Pursuant to these amendments, the Central Electoral Commission will authorize a specialized organization—which will be selected as a result of the contest that will be conducted in line with the procedure specified by the government during the NA elections—to carry out video recording and simultaneous Internet broadcast—with livestream by way of a specially created website, or websites—of the voting process and the summarizing of voting results, from all election precincts in Armenia.

In addition, this video recording shall be conducted with fixed cameras.
