The Tashir group of companies owned by the Russia-based Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, has purchased the MSM Invest Company, as well as 55% of Mirax Group shares.

The Business-24 website reports that Mirax Group is implementing a U.S. $400m construction project, which was approved in 2006. Before the crisis, the MSM Invest Company implemented U.S. $200m worth projects, while the current cost of the projects ranges from U.S. $50 to U.S. $100m.

The Forbes magazine ranked Tashir Group eighth in a list of companies specializing in leasing commercial premises last year. The company’s profits are estimated at U.S. $130m.

Samvel Karapetyan is brother of Karen Karapetyan, the Head of the RA Presidential Administration.
