The laboratory capabilities of the center for veterinary-sanitary and phytosanitary laboratory services of Armenia will be increased in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in order to increase the effectiveness of Armenia's state control over its brandy and wine products. The relevant decision was made at Thursday’s meeting of the Cabinet of the government of Armenia.

In particular, equipment will be purchased that will enable three times to speed up the analysis of stable isotopes of light elements in Armenian wines and brandies.

If under current conditions the aforesaid laboratory can conduct a full examination of only 4-5 samples within 5 working days, after acquiring the aforesaid equipment, it will be possible to examine up to 15 samples in the same period.

As a result, the effectiveness of Armenia's state control over brandy and wine products, as well as the effectiveness of detecting counterfeit products will increase.
