Bentley has introduced a collection of three exclusive cars dedicated to the Sun, Earth and Moon, Motor1.com reports.

The series is named after the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who had proposed the heliocentric model of the world in the 16th century. All three cars were created by the Mulliner division by special order of Bentley Warsaw, and do not repeat each other.

The Nicolaus Copernicus Collection was unveiled on September 21. It included two Continental GT S coupes and one Continental GTC S convertible. Each car embodies a separate celestial body: the Sun, the Earth, or the Moon.

The shared element of these three cars was the “Copernicus Compass,” a graphic image of the orbits of the eight planets of our solar system. It was used in the embroidery and embossing on the center console and decorative panels, as well as in the welcome light projections. In the case of the convertible, this motif was added on the folding roof hatch.

For the interior trim, Mulliner used natural stone instead of the usual wood or carbon. Copper Stone was used in the car dedicated to the Sun, and Galaxy Stone in the “Earth” one.

The “Sun” Continental GT S is distinguished by a Manuka Orange exterior. The interior is decorated with a combination of orange and gray leather, with stripes and stitching that complement the sunny theme.

The “Earth” car is painted in a special Nebula Blue color. The interior combines dark and light blue leather tones, and the panel is decorated with Galaxy Stone.

The third car, the second Continental GT S, has a silver Moonstruck color, reminiscent of the surface of the Moon. The interior has black Beluga leather and light-colored Ice Leather.

Despite all the differences in appearance and trim, technically these cars are almost identical. All three are equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 4.0-liter gasoline V8 engine and two turbochargers. Its power is 671 horsepower.

The cars have 22-inch ten-spoke wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes.

Bentley emphasizes that this collection is the result of joint work between the Polish dealer and Mulliner, a division of the company that specializes in individual and practically unique orders. Thus, the name of Copernicus is associated not only with the history of Polish science, but also with these three modern cars, each of which represents a separate object of our solar system.
