At the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Sixth Committee meeting under agenda item “Measures to eliminate international terrorism,” the delegation of Armenia unequivocally condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Armenian delegation stressed the need for effective international cooperation at both the universal and regional levels firmly grounded in international law, including human rights and humanitarian law principles.
The delegation emphasized that counterterrorism measures must remain focused on their core objective and should not be instrumentalized for political purposes.
Also, Armenia’s commitment to contributing to collective efforts to address the evolving terrorist threat was reaffirmed.
