According to vote counts and projections by US media outlets, the Democratic Party is securing majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

According to NBC News projections, Democrats are set to win 53 of the 100 seats in the upper chamber of Congress. In the House of Representatives, the Democratic Party is projected to win 255 seats. A majority in the lower chamber requires at least 218 seats.
