Foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in Jan-Nov.2009 makes $488m, that is lower than same period index of 2008. Trend Capital referring to the Georgian statistics department informs that export declined by $37.4m reaching $154.2m, whereas import – by $226.9m totaling $333.8.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks second among Georgia’s external partners.
According to the department, overall Georgian external trade in Jan-Nov.2009 reduced by 27.7% hitting $1.028bn, while import – by 32.5% making $4bn.
Within that period Georgia’s positive trade balance with 12 states totaled over $1m: Canada – $96m, Armenia – $39.8m, Saudi Arabia – $9.1m and others, Business Georgia reads.
