In a letter addressed to RA President Serzh Sargsyan, thirty Turkish intellectuals asked for release of the imprisoned participant of Karabakhi war Sargis Hatspanyan. According to Turkish Sabah daily, the head of Bilgi publishing house Ragip Zarakolu who publishes books dedicated to Armenian Genocide is also among the signers.

NEWS.am already reported about an open letter by the renowned Turkish writer Kemal Yalcin with a request to release Sargis Hatspanyan.

Oppositional activist Sargis Hatspanyan was sentenced to 3.5-years’ imprisonment charged with false denunciation in 2008 after March 1events.
