January 12, 2010 Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a 2-day visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Erdogan-Putin meeting is scheduled for January 13.

According to Turkish media, in course of the meeting the officials will discuss bilateral relations, as well as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and Armenia-Turkey reconciliation.

Erdogan’s visit to Moscow aroused a number of assumptions, particularly related to Russian FM Sergey Lavrov’s simultaneous visit to Armenia. According to analysts, the two visits are interrelated and refer to Armenia-Turkey recent developments and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.

As NEWS.am reported previously, recently Turkish President Abdullah Gul stated in one of his recent interviews that Moscow is closely involved in these processes.
