January 12, Iranian nuclear scientist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi was killed in an explosion in the center of Tehran.

According to Iranian Press TV, blast took place near the professor’s home. Ali-Mohammadi “was killed in booby-trapped motorbike blast.”

The killed professor was a nuclear physics scientist, foreign press reports referring to the official statement by Tehran’s Prosecutor Abbas Jafari-Dolatabadi. “No suspect has been arrested yet,” the Prosecutor told Iranian Students News Agency.

Ali-Mohammadi was a lecturer of neutron nuclear physics at the Tehran University and a staunch supporter of the Islamic Revolution.
