Inter-governmental high-level cooperation council between Russia and Turkey may be established, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated at Jan. 12 meeting with Turkish entrepreneurs, TPT reports.

“We are on the threshold of the establishment of inter-governmental high-level cooperation council. After the meetings with Russian Premier Vladimir Putin and President Dmitry Medvedev detailed information will be available in that context,” Erdogan said outlining the first meeting of the сouncil is assumed to be held within the current year.

According to Turkish official, the establsihment of the new council and its activities will lead to the beginning of a new era in Russia-Turkey relations.

Speaking at the meeting Erdogan emphasized 2010 will be special year in terms of economic growth of the country. “Our economy will recover quickly in 2010,” he underlined.

As NEWS.am reported previously, presently Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on visit to Russia. January 13, 2010 his meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Premier Vladimir Putin is planned.
