YEREVAN.- “Armenia” brand trains operating on the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route closed the season on October 1.

According to preliminary data, during the summer season the train of the “South Caucasus Railway” transported 50.3 thousand passengers, against 42.1 thousand in 2011.

For the first time the passengers had an opportunity to purchase tickets online. Also a buffet car was included in the train.

Starting from October 2 the railway will run on the route Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan. The train will resume operating on Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route next summer.
