January 26, the eighth session of Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission took place preceded by the meeting of Georgian Premier Nikoloz Gilauri with his Armenian counterpart Tigran Sargsyan, RA Governmental information and PR department informed NEWS.am.
The fulfillment of decision made during December 9, 2008 meeting in Tbilisi, as well as current stage and prospects of the legal basis, development of trade and economic cooperation were discussed at the session. The cooperation prospects in transport, agriculture, energy, healthcare, tourism, educational and cultural fields were also in focus. The delimitation process of Armenian-Georgian border was also touched upon.
Premiers expressed hope that ninth session will contribute to the expansion of bilateral cooperation. Georgian Premier invited his Armenian counterpart to return visit.
Next intergovernmental commission session will take place in Tbilisi.
