YEREVAN. – A new program for sustainable development is designed, according to which—and based on  the industrial policy—250,000 new jobs are planned to be created in Armenia by the year 2025, PM Tigran Sargsyan stated Tuesday during the 2013 State Budget draft examinations at the National Assembly.   

As per Sargsyan, interesting discussions were held with the MPs, including the members of the opposition. “We sincerely wished to find cooperation frameworks with the opposition,” the Premier said. And as case in point, he promised that the Government will submit more thorough calculations on the state budget revenues, and in accordance with the separate types of taxes.    

Reflecting on the school construction issue, Tigran Sargsyan stated that there is a need to make serious investments in 300 schools, at present, but work is currently underway in solely 85 of them. Overall, the school construction needs are estimated at $500 million and the respective funding matter is being discussed with the donor organizations.
