January 28, 2010 RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the sidelines of International Conference on Afghanistan in London.

The officials expressed content with the friendly partnership between the states, regular high level meetings and expressed readiness to continue effective steps towards the intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation, RA MFA Press Service informed NEWS.am.

Nalbandian and Clinton also discussed efforts into Armenia-Turkey relations' normalization.

In this regard, Clinton confirmed U.S. support to Armenia-Turkey reconciliation as well as the early ratification of the Protocols.

RA CC decision on Protocols conformity to RA Constitution once again proves that the country adheres to the assumed commitments, Nalbandian outlined adding that Armenia awaits similar stance from Turkey.

The officials also discussed recent developments in Karabakh peace process. RA FM attached significance to U.S. role in the process as an OSCE MG Co-Chairing country and presented his American counterpart the results of Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani Presidents’ trilateral meeting in Sochi, on Jan. 25. Nalbandian and Clinton also exchanged views on issues of common interest.
