Improved Russia-NATO relations will contribute to the positive development in Georgian-Russian and Georgia-NATO relations, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said at a Feb.1 press conference in Brussels, RIA Novosti reports.

The Georgia-NATO relations aggravated after 2008 August war. NATO member states condemned Russia for disproportionate use of force and declared suspension of the Russia-NATO Council’s sitting at all levels. In response, Russia decided to block a number of joint programs with NATO.
