Totalizing the 2nd quarter, Head of Development Department of “Ameriabank” CJSC Tigran Jrbashyan said the bank has active growth rates and, as per the latest statistics, is the leading bank of Caucasian region.

As of July 1, 2009,"Ameriabank" CJSC assets made up over 86.2bl AMD setting 175.8% growth since January 2009 – which almost thrice exceeds rates of the same period in 2008. Bank liabilities increased by 8.3% totaling to 65.4bl AMD.

The bank’s credit portfolio makes 31.6bl AMD, which exceeds for almost 30% the rate of the same period in 2008. Jrbashyan stressed deposit growth, that proves the increasing customers’ confidence. Natural persons’ deposits with fixed period in H1 2009 increased by 230%, whereas in 2nd quarter – by 36.9% reaching 6.3bl AMD. According to him, this is a result of a fruitful cooperation with “Rosgosstrakh-Armenia”. “Thus, we assert the bank is capable of launching long-term loan programs,” Jrbashyan declared.

“Ameriabank” CJSC with 554.9bl AMD income is rated third in Armenian commercial banks. Russian “Troika Dialogue” Group is the bank’s strategic partner with 99.7% of capital interest.
