YEREVAN. – Pursuant to the Electoral Code of Armenia, the formal nominations for next February’s presidential elections in the country can be submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) from Tuesday to January 4, 2013, CEC press service informs.  

Even though this time period coincides with the New Year and pre-Armenian-Christmas holidays in the country, the CEC members and staff will work on those days in shifts—and every day from 9am to 6pm—to accept the nomination paperwork.

No nominations are submitted as of yet, CEC Press Secretary Hermine Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
