Under the global crisis Armenians have to save more than other CIS citizens, says the survey conducted by Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM). At that, as much as 65% of local population is forced to do so.

Every second pollee in Ukraine and Russia cuts the expenses (49% and 48% respectively), whereas 45% — in Belarus.

Primarily the spending on clothes and footwear are reduced, having this approach common in Ukraine (51%) and Russia (46%).

According to the survey, 78% of Armenian, 80% of Russian and 79% of Kazakh population are seriously concerned about the recession.

While majority of Lithuanians are confident that their country is in the upper turning point of crisis (76%), Ukrainians reckon than they are on the peak of crisis (51%). Interestingly, 31% of Russian respondents deem that their country reached the peak, whereas 29% — that it is surmounting the crisis.
