Hundreds of Iranians held a protest in front of UN New York building, German Bild newspaper informs. The demonstrators protested against current regime in Iran, condemning the actions of authorities, particularly Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and spiritual leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“After June 12 presidential race thousands of people were arrested and thrown into prisons,” one of the political activists Akbar Ganji said.

Some of the protestors went on hunger strike and demanded UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to visit Iran to deal with the situation.
