A quick look at the top taxpayers list unveils Armenian economy to be predominantly held by service, import and trade. Supermarkets, stores, pawnshops, beauty saloons, and construction sector – are key workforce market players.

Economic analyst Eduard Aghajanov once made an apt expression on the Armenian business elite, saying: ‘What our national capital comprises? It is worth almost nothing despite the recreation areas, hotels and saunas.’
