Turkish President Abdullah Gul visited Isparta province of Turkey and answered journalists’ questions, CNNTurk reports.

A journalist noted that Genocide Resolution is again on the agenda of U.S. Congress, while Sweden presently holds on a vote on the bill, adding that the resolution is likely to be approved.

Asked to comment on the facts, Gul said that U.S. decision lacked respect towards Turkish nation. “This whole thing is wrong and injustice to history. Nothing is worse than politicians not knowing a thing about history while making decisions about it. Peace, stability and cooperation are essential for me. Hopefully everyone will see that such political decisions impeding maintenance of long-term peace and stability are wrong,” President emphasized.
