Political analyst Ilgar Mammadov commented on OSCE MG Co-Chair Bernard Fassier’s statement made at March 12 NATO PA Rose-Roth seminar in Yerevan. The Co-chair said that in case of war Azerbaijan cannot win, as is well-aware of Karabakhi people’s courageous warriors.

“Indeed, Bernard Fassier said that Karabakhi courageous soldiers will not allow Azerbaijan to win the war. He spoke French, whereas participants of the seminar and I were having the English translation” he stated. “It is a pity that one of OSCE MG Co-Chairs assumed duties of RA Defense Minister raising spirit of Armenian soldiers instead of performing his ones,” Mammadov added.

Fassier’s statement deeply offended Azerbaijan and even the country’s foreign office repeatedly threatened that will give an official reply if it turns out that Co-chair said so.
