Armenia registered the 4th highest USD exchange rate against national currencies in the former USSR countries January through July, 2009.

Belarus was the first, preceded by Tajikistan only in May.

During the period USD exchange rate registered a rise of 29.5 % (2,200-1,849 rubles) in Belarus, 27.19% in Tajikistan, 24.79 % (120-150 tenges) in Kazakhstan, 20.74 % in Armenia (306-370 AMD) respectively.

Kyrgyzstan was the fifth (10.4 %), followed by Russia (8.08 %), Moldova (7.72 %), Uzbekistan (6.91 %), Latvia (1.01 %), Georgia (0.46 %), Azerbaijan (0.41 %) and Estonia (0.01 %).

USD exchange rate remained unchanged in Turkmenistan, and registered a slight fall in Lithuania and Ukraine.
