U.S. President Barack Obama will go to Poland to attend funeral services for Polish President Lech Kaczynski, killed in a plane crash on April 10 near Smolensk, Associated Press reports.

German President Horst Kohler, Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as leaders of Italy, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Estonia, President of European Council Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Durao, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek will pay tribute to Polish President’s memory.

According to unofficial data, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will also travel to Poland to attend the funeral service, RBK informs.

The mourning ceremony will be held on April 17. President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria Kaczynska will be buried after a funeral at Krakow's Wawel Cathedral.

As reported previously, April 10, Tu-154 aircraft heading from Warsaw to Smolensk with Polish President Lech Kaczynski crashed 300-400 meters away from air-strip of Severniy military airport in Smolensk region, Russia. Onboard were Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his spouse Maria Kaczynska, and other high ranking officials. According to recent data, there were 96 people aboard. Body of President Lech Kaczynski returned home on April 11.
