Twitter will donate archive of public tweets to the Library of Congress, Lenta.ru reports. The Library will get access to the majority of Twitter archives that are publicly published on the website. Twitter already contains over 10 bn messages.
For instance, Library archives will get the first public tweet of Barack Obama about his victory in 2008 elections.
Library archives will be constantly renewed, as presently Twitter users send about 55 million messages a day.
