May 14-17, NKR President Bako Sahakyan held a number of meetings with heads of political parties, Central Election Commission, as well as government and administrative bodies, NKR Presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

Issues related to the National Assembly elections to be held on 23 May were in focus. Sahakyan underlined that the forthcoming elections are a politically responsible event for the republic and all branches of the government, local authority are expected to do their utmost to maintain high level and proper elections, creating equal opportunities for each party and at-large candidates.

President urged all parties and candidates to conduct the civilized election campaign in accordance with provisions of the law and morality.

He noted that NKR authorities will ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
