According to preliminary data, Tories strongly head the polls in UK parliamentary elections. Central Election Commission informs that it won already 291 seats in the parliament polling 36%. Second comes the Labor Party, that will hold 251 seats gaining 29.3% of the votes, followed by Liberal Democrats to have 52 seats with 22.9% votes. Other parties secured 27 seats, BBC reports.

For forming the government, the winning party has to muster at least 326 seats out of 650 in the House of Commons. Based on estimates, Tories will not achieve it, otherwise Britain will have so-called “hung” parliament for first time within last decades after 1974, when no political party holds an absolute majority of seats.
