An Armenian delegation headed by the Vice-Premier, RA Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan is participating in the international conference on Democracy, Development and Free Trade in Qatar.

During the visit, Armen Gevorgyan met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The sides stressed the importance of the Armenian-Qatari intergovernmental commission, which is to hold its maiden sitting before the end of 2010.

Minister Gevorgyan presented Armenia’s regional programs and main fields of possible bilateral cooperation. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani stated his readiness to assist Armenia in implementing the programs through investments in country’s economy.
