May 2, a group of activists of the Azerbaijani NGO Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) held an unauthorized protest action near Israel’s Embassy in Baku.

About ten KLO representatives gathered near the diplomatic mission, chanting slogans in support of Turkey and condemning Israel’s recent attack on humanitarian flotilla. 

Deputy Chairman of the organization Gultekin Guliyeva handed a resolution labeling the Israeli troops’ actions as a grave crime to an Embassy staff member.

The document calls on Israel to accept the crime, apologize to international community, end the blockade of the Gaza Strip and stop preventing supply of humanitarian aid to the territory. The NGO representatives also demanded that the Israeli diplomatic mission should leave Azerbaijan.

Earlier, Israeli commandoes stormed the ships carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, killing 9 people, including 4 citizens of Turkey. Thereafter, Turkey called off its Ambassador from Israel.
