On August 10-12, 2009 Latvian President Valdis Zatlers, accompanied by a government delegation, is to be on an official visit to Azerbaijan.

On August 10, the Latvian President is to hold a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliev. The presidential meeting will be followed by talks between the two presidents and delegations. A joint presidential declaration and intergovernmental agreements are to be signed.

The Latvian President is scheduled to take part in Azerbaijani-Latvian business-forum.
