YEREVAN. – The individuals’ non-profit banking system remittances to Armenia have amounted to USD 1,323,000 in January-September 2014; this is a 0.4-percent increase as compared to the same period last year.
But given the fact that a significant portion of the cash flow to Armenia comes from Russia, it should be noted that if the Russian ruble’s devaluation against the US dollar is not taken into account, the non-profit remittances to Armenia would have increased by 8 percent between January and September of the current year.
