After the ceasefire was achieved in 1994, Armenia entered a new stage in army construction. Both army discipline and equipment has improved since. As a result, Armenia has an efficient army, which guarantees the Armenian people’s security, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan stated at his meeting with representatives of the “Depi Hayk” Fund on July 14.

The press service of the RA Ministry of Defense informed NEWS.am that the Minister pointed out the Armenian Diaspora’s important role in Armenia’s development. He particularly stressed the Diaspora’s role in the liberation war in Nagorno-Karabakh. Minister Ohanyan said that many representatives of the Armenian Diaspora arrived to defend their historical homeland.

The Minister answered the attendees’ questions concerning Azerbaijan’s militant rhetoric.

The Armenian Diaspora representatives will visit military units.
