Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov is going to run into trouble, the Azerbaijan-based Poligon news website reports, referring to western mass media.

A leak says that during his recent visit to Washington Minister Mammadyarov held meetings with representatives of a number of western companies, who hinted they are expecting official Baku to make concrete steps to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The same source reports that Minister Mammadyarov promised to do it. However, the posture the Azeri official adopted following the Saint Petersburg meeting makes the western companies conclude that the promise was not kept.

So they decided to punish Mammadyarov. Western mass media will soon publish sensational article discrediting the Azeri FM.

Referring to the Government’s website, Poligon writes that some local media outlets are rumored to cooperate with western companies. According to some information, the Azeri authorities have begun “brainwashing” some journalists suspected of being in touch with western companies. In conclusion, forming the information into a mosaic, Poligon speculates the Madrid Principles are most likely being taken out of circulation.
