Regime of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will last for 4-5 days, in case the hostilities resume, Armenian MP Vardan Khachatryan told the reporters.

He considers that Azerbaijan is unlikely to resume war. Nevertheless, it is not ruled out that Azerbaijani warlike statements might lead to resumption of hostilities. Young people supporting Aliyev do not remember war and incite him to make concrete steps, instead of voicing warlike statements, he noted.  This might urge Aliyev to unleash war.

The MP stressed that Armenia is ready for possible hostilities, but Aliyev’s strategy of swift war may catch Yerevan on the wrong foot. Khachatryan deems that unexpected attack by the Azerbaijani side may inflict big losses on the peaceful population of Stepanakert.
