On August 15, the citizens of Vagif, the only Armenian village of Turkey, celebrated Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God.
Numerous guests who arrived in Vagif from France, Germany and Turkey’s regions attended the service and were treated to Armenian dish – harisa.
The feast commemorates the falling asleep or death of the Holy Mother, and her bodily resurrection before being taken up into heaven.
