No one has revoked the Madrid principles, and they are the basis for negotiations for settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at his September 1 meeting with the students of the International Relations Department, Yerevan State University.

“There are three fundamental principles of international law that are the basis for settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: nonuse or threat of force, peoples’ right to self-determination and territorial integrity. This is the essence of the Madrid principles,” Minister Nalbandian said.
