Iran earmarks U.S. $20m to investigate and disclose cases when United States violated human rights. The Majlis (Iranian Parliament) passed the relevant bill on August 24 with 189 voting for, 21 against and 9 abstained.

IRNA reports that in case the bill is fully ratified, U.S. $20m will be allocated to deduce cases when U.S. violated human rights in the world and to counteract American high tech.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said 29 Iranian MPs worked out the bill as U.S. support for anti-Iranian elements is growing. Boroujerdi also reminded that U.S. Senate has allocated $55m for Iran-opposing regime.

The bill will enter into force only when Iranian highest electoral authority – Guardian Council (composed of high-rank Shiite spiritual leaders) ratifies it.
