Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting Sept. 23 with Jean-Marie Sander, Chairman of Credit Agricole group.

The RA presidential press service informed NEWS.am that President Sargsyan rated high the ACBA Credit Agricole bank’s contribution to the Armenian banking system and economy, particularly to the country’s agricultural development.

Mr. Jean-Marie Sander pointed out that the bank realizes its responsibility in its effective involvement in Armenia’s economic development, giving priority to the agricultural sector and rural development. The bank intends to continue contributing to the country’s development.

Besides financial cooperation, the bank contributes to Armenian-French relations. Jean-Marie Sander pointed out that a solemn event on the occasion of the 140th birthday anniversary of the great Armenian composer Komitas.

The sides stressed all the conditions necessary for the bank’s larger-scale activities are available in Armenia.
