Construction of a new terminal at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport will be completed by 2011 autumn, Sahak Hakobyan, head of the staff of General Department of Civil Aviation at the Armenian government told the reporters.
According to him, a $70 m estimated project of the terminal will fully conform to international standards. "New arriving terminal was put into operation in 2006-2007. Presently, a new terminal with up-to-date technical equipment and automation level is constructed," Hakobyan stated.
A new terminal is constructed within the framework of a loan agreement signed between Armenia International Airports company and three structures: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Asian Development Bank and German Investment Corporation (DEG).
