In its September 30 issue, the Armenia-based Chorrord Ishkhanutyun (Fourth Estate) newspaper reports that the recently sacked Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov is facing the threat of losing a greater part of his property. The Moscow authorities are now inventorying Luzhkov’s property.

According to the newspaper, a Russian TV company sent its reporters to Armenia to video record Luzhkov’s property in the country. Luzhkov allegedly owns lands in Artsashat and Noragyugh, reservoirs in Armvir, and so on. Everything was video recorded. Also, five Russian banks are reported to have received a list of 50 companies they must not have any dealings with. About 15 of the companies are reportedly Armenian ones. They are most likely owned by Armenian high-ranking officials, who have been doing business under Luzhkov’s “protection” both in and outside Armenia. The companies are actually facing threat as well.
