A press conference regarding a report on French parliamentarians’ trip to Nagorno-Karabakh was held in the French National Assembly on Wednesday, NKR foreign office press service informed NEWS.am.

The author of the report is Francois Rochebloine, French MP and chairman of France-Armenia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group. Pascale Crozon and René Rouquet who had visited Karabakh were present at the press conference as well.

Francois Rochebloine presented the objectives of visiting Karabakh, expressing gratitude to the NKR authorities for organization of the trip and warm reception. “The delegation saw at first hand how the Karabakh people build democratic institutes and a civil society,” Rochebloine said, noting that the French MPs were present at the first session of a newly elected NKR National Assembly. According to the MP, the major issue that Karabakh people are concerned about, is international recognition of NKR.

The question on the role of France and French parliament in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict was also raised at a press conference.
