The journalist of the Ukrainian Profil newspaper said that her conversation with Armenian Prime Minsiter Tigran Sargsyan started with his statement that close cooperation with Russia unites Armenia and Ukraine of Victor Yanukovych.
According to the reporter, strategic Armenian companies were handed to Russian proprietors in exchange for relief of national debt in early 2000s. There are 1400 companies with Russian capital operating in Armenia.
“It is a comparatively small number, as there are over 150,000 economic entities in Armenia. However, Russian investments in energy sector, infrastructure and informational technologies are of major importance for Armenia,” Tigran Sargsyan said in an interview with the newspaper.
