At its sitting on October 12, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) left the annual refinancing rate unchanged – 7.25%. This September the annual price rise was 8.6% - much higher than the legal 4 ±1.5 %.

However, a 0.2% fall in prices was registered this September as compared with this August, made the CBA hope for a further tendency that would enable it to meet the target at the end of this year. No serious grounds have been proposed to justify the fall in prices. It is no coincidence that the CBA make regular inaccurate forecasts for price rise.
