Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, informing him of the normalization process in Armenia-Turkey relations.

On August 31, 2009 Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministers delivered a message through the mediation of Switzerland to start political consultations within six weeks. Davutoğlu asked Lavrov to provide intensification of Russia’s efforts in Karabakh conflict settlement for stability and peace establishment in Caucasus.
