The Azerbaijani “miracle plane,” the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, could not depart from Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland, due to technical malfunctions.

As a result, the Azerbaijani national football team, which faced the host nation in their 2018 World Cup qualifiers, are unable to leave Northern Ireland, according to Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan.

They are waiting for another plane to arrive from Azerbaijan.

Earlier, however, Azerbaijani media had reported that this “miracle plane” had shocked the imagination of the people of Northern Ireland.    

To note, Northern Ireland thrashed Azerbaijan 4-0 in Friday evening’s match.
