On September 2, 2009 a strong earthquake of 7 points in Indonesian island of Java killed 15 people and injured 30, France Press reports.

According to the geological survey of Indonesia the epicenter was 144 km south from Bandung city.

Local tsunami warning was issued soon after the quake, but was withdrawn in an hour.

Presently thousands of inhabitants are evacuated from their residences, Reuters reports.
