Russian-Georgian experts’ meeting scheduled September 2-6 in Tbilisi within the framework of Georgian-Russian Public Commission will not take place. The reason was Georgian authorities’ refusal to let two Russian journalists into the country, said Malkhaz Gulashvili, President and founder of The Georgian Times Media Holding and head of “Azri” Strategic Research Center.

Maksim Shevchenko, OPT Anchor (Russian TV channel) and Russian Public Chamber member, as well as Vladimir Mamontov, Chief Editor of “Izvestiya” daily, were barred from entry to Georgia. Only Alan Kasaev, head of CIS and Baltic states editorial office of RIA Novosti, was issued a visa in Tbilisi airport.

According to Shevchenko, the delegation will head to Yerevan and then to Moscow.
